On September 23, 2021, the Kiwanis Club of Christiansburg held its annual meeting and installed officers and directors for the 2021–2022 fiscal year.
Bob Lewit, a member of the Christiansburg Club and Lieutenant Governor for Division 16 of the Capital District, officiated the installation ceremony.
The newly installed officers are:
- President: Kelley Olson
- Vice President: Gary Morris
- Secretary: Teddy McCracken
- Assistant Secretary: Bruce Board
- Treasurer: Mark Cox
- Assistant Treasurer: Steve Simmons
- Immediate Past President: Glenn Wilson
Directors installed to serve through 2023 include Blaine Keesee, Fernando Vissani, Alison Gordon, and Bruce Board. Continuing directors serving through 2022 are Dubby Charlton, Marlin Reeves, Ernie Wade, and Alicia Glynn.

During the meeting, Bob Lewit was also installed as Trustee of the Capital District Southwest Virginia Region by John Montgomery, the outgoing Trustee from the Roanoke Kiwanis Club.
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Kiwanian of the Year Award, which recognizes a club member who demonstrates outstanding service. Steve Simmons was named this year’s recipient. Over the past year, Steve led the Head Start backpack program, coordinated production of the Christiansburg High School football program, served on the Kiwanis Wilderness Trail Festival Committee, and supported numerous additional club initiatives.

The Kiwanis Club of Christiansburg meets each Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Christiansburg. Visitors are welcome.
