Call to Order
President Elect Davidson called the meeting to order. The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a blessing led by Charlton
Approval of Previous Minutes
The minutes of the August13, 2026, meeting were submitted for approval.

- Gerry Vanhoozier-Davidson reports she came home from Hospital
- Heritage Day-Wade gave thanks to all the members that showed up and helped. He then read a thank you note from Executive Director Sherry Wyatt. See email below.
- KWTF-Wade asked everyone to get posters and place around the area. Also, be prepared to help on 9/17, we need all hands-on deck. We don’t have the 20+ students from the Bible College this year and that is why we need extra help this.
- Backpacks-Simmons said we will pack next Thursday as classes start Monday. They have 34 students this year.
- Eagle Scout Project-Simmons said the project at the park is going well.
- Stage Practice-Davidson briefed we will need help putting this together at the park on 8/29 at 8:00 A.M.
- Next Week’s Meeting-We will meet at the park and enjoy Low Country Boil
- Plastic-Henderson is still collecting plastic for other organizations, not Kiwanis. Please feel to bring in your plastic and Henderson will collect it. Main issue is to keep it out of the landfills.
- Social Media-A Glynn asks everyone to Like/Love/Share her posts as it helps get the word out and gives us more visibility.
