Program
S. Semones introduced his son, Wyatt Semones, presenting his plans for his Eagle Scout Project at Kiwanis Park. Wyatt is a Junior at Christiansburg HS; he has two older brothers at VT, enjoys hiking and biking, is a worship leader at church and is a member of the National Honor Society. Wyatt enjoys playing bass guitar and singing. His scouting journey began with Cub Scouts and is working toward his final rank of Eagle Scout. He has held many leadership roles including Honor Guard. Only 4% of scouts earn Eagle and must complete a community service project. The project requires meeting and planning as well as many steps to complete it and must be properly and fully documented. He plans to complete the project this summer while documenting what went well and what was a challenge. Wyatt has a lot of memories of Kiwanis Park as a youth. This project will include building 10 new picnic tables to replace the old ones and rejuvenating the horseshoe pits. Wyatt received Boy Scout Council approval to proceed, and work will start in late May early Summer with completion by end of August. Final presentation to his troop and board of review in September. Project emphasis is on leadership. Wyatt welcomes any help from the club during the build. Our club is providing all required materials. Good Q&A followed.

Attendees: Perry, Lewit, Wade, Cox, Davidson, Simmons, Kennan, Thompson, Dobbins, Board, Miles, Painter
- Seeking approval for Warren Taylor membership application.
- Motion: Kennan
- Second: Cox
The motion passed unanimously.
- New Stage-Cox did some on-line research on the provider and has some questions regarding legitimacy of the contractor and the pricing. He wants to continue fact finding, but if the club has already voted and approved, he will not hold things up. He wants to see a completed contract prior to writing a check to purchase. Cox anticipates receiving a completed quote from the vendor tomorrow.
- Meeting was adjourned with no further business.
