Approval of Previous Minutes

The minutes of the August 20, 2026, meeting were submitted for approval.

• Committee Reports and Floor Comments

• Tonight’s Dinner-Big thanks and appreciation to the cooks for the delicious Low Country Boil.
• New Member-President Perry presented hat and shirt to Lyndsi Hale our newest corporate member.
• Back Packs-Simmons said they started packing this evening.  We will be packing every Thursday at Head Start on Church Street prior to our meeting.  We are packing for 34 students so they will have food over the weekend.
• Rocking Christiansburg-Simmons stated the event will be at Uptown Mall from 5-9 on 12 Sept.  Board is in- charge
• Park-Simmons explained the property line tape, and they are still looking at erosion control requirements.
• Stage Practice-President Perry we will meet here at 8:00 AM Saturday morning.  We will probably set up half of the stage with railings and steps as the rest will be the same.  All concur this is a good idea.  Other discussions followed regarding potential options for setting up and tearing down at KWTF.
• KWTF-Wade is asking for all hands to help as we no longer have support from the recently closed Bible College. He will have a sign-up sheet here next week or you can email him with your plans to help.  Also, need to get posters from Wade and post them around the area.
• Christmas Party-Charlton is working on setting a date with the Church that won’t clash with the Lions Club regular meeting.
• Social Media-A. Graham asks that we all like and share the many posts she makes.  She has done a tremendous job keeping our name out front.
• ATTENTION ALL BOARD MEMBERS-we will have a Board Meeting Next week...please attend.
• Upcoming Speakers and Events (Please share suggested guest speakers with Bruce Board for scheduling.)
• 9/3/26-Sarah Austin from MCPS

• 9/19/26-KWTF…Need all members to help
